Executive Coaching:
Our highly client-centered approach to helping executives improve their leadership and managerial skills to meet current and future organizational and business challenges is based on our more than 25 years of experiences working with senior leaders. From our experience, we have discovered that coaching success requires commitment to defined developmental goals, effective capability transfer, and easy to apply development tools that focus and facilitate experimentation, learning, and behavior change. Our coaching process commonly spans a three to six month period with weekly sessions. It generally begins with a multiple rater based assessment of current strengths and developmental opportunities using customized tools. This assessment informs the establishment of developmental performance priorities and goals that then guide subsequent development work. New Leader Assimilation ProcessThe frequency of executive movement from one organization to another or from one role to another within the same organization is at an all time high. Whether a new leader is hired from the outside, promoted, or moved laterally to foster career development, fast and effective transition and assimilation within the new role is required for performance success. Our research and that of others indicates that a large number of newly recruited, reassigned, and promoted leaders fail within 18 months. This same research shows that success and failure in a new role can be directly attributed back to how the transition period was managed. Our experience has helped us discover that the biggest trap leaders moving into new roles make is to assume that what they have done to be successful in the past will automatically work for them again in the future. The reality is that new roles have new requirements for success that need to be learned and adjusted to quickly. Our structured approach helps facilitate and accelerate the transition and assimilation by assisting the new leader in gaining a full understanding of the new role's context and challenges, begin to develop effective working relationships with new peers and direct reports, as well as establishing a near term performance improvement agenda for the new leader and his/her direct report team. Leadership Development AssessmentsWhether you are focused on preparing high potentials for future roles, developing current executives to handle new business challenges, or assisting executives generally to improve their effectiveness, it is important to build the right capabilities quickly and in a cost effective manner. Our leadership development assessments combine a multiple rater feedback survey tool with in-depth individual interviews with those who work most closely with the executive, as well as other leadership and performance based assessments.
